PH urges NPGs for restrain

Dimapur, August 18: While upholding its standing resolution, the Pochury Hoho has reaffirmed its appeal to all the Naga Political Groups (NPGs) to maintain maximum restraint in order to maintain peace and tranquility in Pochury areas in particular and the Naga areas in general.
The reaffirmation to this resolution was taken in its general meeting on August 13 held at GHSS auditorium at 10:30 a.m. It resolved that the Naga people, in the spirit of forgiveness and oneness, should ceaselessly strive and work for the restorative unity for the common purpose towards achieving the Naga political aspiration.
On the news of measles outbreak in the bordering Naga areas of Myanmar which has been brought under control to large extent, the village councils were reminded and instructed for restriction of socialising and contact with the bordering villages of Myanmar and be alert for any cases of communicable disease in the days ahead. It decided that any eventualities of any such cases should be reported to the administration or to the medical staff for quick response.The session began with an invocation prayer by Rev. Tivisie, pastor BCMT, which was chaired by Penthü Pochury, president of Pochury Hoho. Introductory speech and layout of 1st event report was conducted by the President, while declaration of Pochury Literature Board was highlighted by its general secretary, Er. Vichutho Nyusou.
Meanwhile, it has elected news team of office bearers headed by Akho Leyri as president, R Thuchu Pfithu as vice president, Sierhosie Kajiri as general secretary, Tsimatho as joint secretary, and Nothopa as treasurer.
