Pfutsero Government College observes alumni day

DIMAPUR — The 6th alumni day celebration of the Pfutsero Government College (PGC) was held on November 4 with its former vice principal, Medozu Mero, as the guest speaker.

Speaking on the occasion, Mero encouraged the gathering to live in humility and upheld a life of servitude. He stated that the best lessons in life are cultivated by learning to appreciate the people who taught them, stated an update from the college.

He added that success should not be viewed only through the lens of academic excellence but applied in all spheres of human activity and endeavour with diligence and dignity as life mission.

It stated that the TL Singsit award for the best teacher 2022 was awarded to the college vice principal, Neichupe Kapfo, while the best graduate 2022 award was conferred to Khroyilou Pfuno, department of English.

The alumni association also felicitated its former students namely Rosemary Mero, Belou Khutso and Huvelu Dasal for successfully clearing the NPSC, NCS, NPS and allied services, and Botoli Wotsa for securing second runner-up in Miss Phek 2023 contest.

The welcome note was addressed delivered by the president of alumni association, Elika Mero, while the vice president, Rosemary Mero, shared her experience and songs were presented by Muluveyi Theluo and Pfuzuto Tetseo and friends.
