Pfutsero College holds workshop on financial literacy, library awareness
DIMAPUR —The internal quality assurance cell (IQAC), Pfutsero Government College (PGC), organised a one-day workshop on ‘Financial literacy and library awareness: role of library in resource management and sharing’ on Wednesday at the college auditorium.
According to a press release, the workshop was organised in collaboration with the CRISIL Foundation, Pfutsero, and the Library department of the college for teaching faculty, students, and ministerial staff.
WeloÜ Khalo, librarian at PGC, was the resource person for session I, and she spoke about the history and functions of libraries, as well as the various library resources available at the college.
She also introduced the e-Calibre library facility available in the college and encouraged the gathering to make use of the different resources and facilities provided to develop healthy reading habits.
For session II, various resource persons spoke and provided information on banking and finances, including talks on banking, savings and investments, goal setting and financial planning, insurance, pensions, digital banking and fraud prevention, and social security schemes.
