Dimapur, May 3 (EMN): Medical mobile unit in Peren district conducted medical camps in 10 villages during April where free medical services such as basic health check-ups, distribution of medicines, blood tests and health talks were conducted.
The medical camps were conducted for people especially in the hard-to- reach areas where accessibility of health centres are not easy and where there are no road connectivity.
Health camp was conducted in Helagem village on April 16 led by Dr. Anungla and staff of Poilwa PHC, while similar camp was conducted in New Peren village on April 27 led by Dr. Nukshisangla, DPO (UIP/RCH) and MMU team. On April 20 medical camp was conducted in Deukoram village led by Dr. Martha and staff of PHC Dungki, while medical camps were conducted in Beisumpuikam, Jalukiekam, Jalukie Zandi and Libemphai on April 15 and 16 led by Dr. Phenriwangbo Newmai and MMU team.
On April 27 and 28, medical camps were conducted in Pelhang and Pelhang B led by Dr. Vizokhulo Khamo and staff of Athibung PHC, and similar camp was conducted in Old Nkio village on April 28 led by Dr. Nuksung Jamir and staff of Tening PHC.
