Peren Government College annual games, sports meet concludes
DIMAPUR: Peren Government College organised its 35th Annual Games and Sport Meet on the theme “The Harder the Battle, The Sweeter the Victory” at the Peletkie Village Football Ground from March 16 to the 18th.
The three-day event began with a brief programme wherein Chetrailube Ndang, Asst. Games and Sports Secretary, PGCSU chaired the programme; Invocation was led by Keyipeiraile, PGC EU Prayer Secretary; special melody by Keyipeiraibe; Lighting of Torch by Rangzaibeule of 6th Semester and oath taking by Games and Sports Secretary, PGCSU.
Albert, Vice Principal, PGC exhorted the students and shared his view on the importance of sports in students’ life, and encouraged the students to give their best not only in studies but also in extracurricular activities to excel in life.
In the group-level competition, the overall champion was won by ‘Hearts’ Group and in individual level, Kenzeu and Rangzaibeule of 6th Semester won the individual champion positions for boys and girls categories respectively.
