Peren District Inter-Departmental Tournament kicks off

DIMAPUR — The 9th Peren District Inter-Departmental Tournament kicked off at Jalukie indoor stadium on Tuesday with Deputy Commissioner of Peren, Vineet Kumar, as the special guest.

Speaking at the inaugural function, the DC encouraged the participants to engage in the three-day tournament with a true sporting spirit.

He expressed hope that the event would not only be a platform for healthy competition but also foster positive relationships among the participating departments.

ADC Peren, Keyiranding Hegui, who is also the convenor of the organizing committee, delivered the welcome note, according to an update from DIPR.

The sports extravaganza, which will conclude on November 30, promises exciting competitions in various disciplines including table tennis, carrom, penalty shoot-out, arm wrestling, chess, and badminton.
