Peren district conducts random Covid tests

Medical team conducts random Covid sampling test at Tening town on June 3.

Dimapur, June 4 (EMN): Medical team in Peren district along with the police and administration carried out random sampling test for Covid in all the four blocks of the district.

An update from the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Peren, stated that the samples were collected from taxi drivers, auto drivers, shopkeepers, travellers and construction workers.

At Ahthibung town, the medical team led by Dr. Vezokholu Khamo, MO of Ahthibung PHC, conducted random test on June 2 and 3 in which two were tested positive out of the total 100 samples.

At Peren town, the medical team led by Dr. Ihube, MO of District Hospital Peren, conducted random test on June 1 and 3. It stated that out of the total 74, all were tested negative.

At Tening town, the medical team led by Dr. Menangtongzuk and Dr. Nuksung Jamir, both MO of Tening CHC, conducted random test on June 3 in which out of the total 26 all were tested negative.

Report also stated that random test was conducted at Jalukie town on June 2 led by Dr Imnuk, epidemiologist IDSP Peren, wherein a total of 50 were tested negative. Further, random test was conducted at Samziuram on June 3 in which a total of 54 were tested negative.
