Peren district CMO conducts review meeting
Dimapur, Aug. 9 (EMN): The Chief Medical Office of Peren district held its district review meeting on Aug. 7 at its Conference Hall in New Peren.
The chief medical officer of Peren Dr. Denis Hangsing reminded the participants about the social work that was scheduled to be carried out on Aug. 8 as well as about the Independence Day.
During the meeting, the Deeputy Chief Medical Officer Dr. Supongmenla has requested all medical officers and health workers to be in their posted place particularly during the trying times with people been affected by landslides.
She also requested all health units to check their medicines stocks and especially the Asha’s to have all the basic emergency medicines.
The district programme officer of RCH/UIP, Dr. Nukshisangla Jamir, spoke about the National Deworming Day (NDD) which will be carried out in the whole district in the month of August.
She reminded the health workers about the roles and responsibilities during the NDD campaign.
She added that an intensive positive awareness is importnat and requested all health workers to work in sincere so to provide the best of services to the people.
Further, she also reviewed about the ongoing campaign of Measles-Rubella and requested block level to complete their meetings and sensitisation programs at the earliest. She also mentioned of the importance of microplan and requested all concern to submit their report before Aug. 14.
Medical officer of Tening Public Health Centre, Dr. Samzai, gave a presentation of the block performance compiled by its block program manager. The presentation indicated various aspects of activities as well the targets and achievements under RCH, UIP and other vertical programs.
