Kohima, March 16 (EMN): Peraciezie Royals, Diphu XI and KODH Cricket Club moved into the quarter finals of the ongoing 8th Silver Cup T20 Cricket Tournament at Jakhama local ground on Thursday.
In the first match of the day, Peraciezie Royals defeated Renegades CC Wokha by 7 wickets.
Electing to bat first, Renegades set a target of 88 runs in 19.3 overs losing all wickets. Sunil Sharma contributed 36 runs.
Peraciezie Royals bowler Kevilelie Aso took 4 wickets while Khriesamhalie, Saroj and Renchamo took 2 wickets each.
Chasing the small target, Peraciezie Royals achieved it in 12.3 overs losing 4 wickets. Renchomo scored 27 Runs.
Kevilelie of Peraciezie Royals was declared the Man of the match for taking 4 wickets in 4 overs and scoring 12 runs* (not out).The second match saw Diphu XI knocking out Victoria CC Dimapur by 9 wickets.
Fielding first Diphu XI restricted Victoria CC for 83 runs in 17.5 overs. Diphu bowlers Mridul, Badal, Shibhrat and Aman took 2 wickets each.
Diphu XI chased the target in 12 overs losing 1 wicket. Rahul of Diphu who scored 39* was declared the Man of the match.
In the last match of the day, KODH Cricket Club defeated Silver White by 10 wickets. Winning the toss, Silver White elected to bat setting a target of 77 runs in 18.5 overs. Zevilie of KODH took 4 wickets and Avito took 2 wickets.
KODH won the match in just 8 overs without losing any wicket. Man of the match was awarded to Avito for taking 2 wickets and scoring 34 runs.
