Pension Adalat organised for DoT pensioners in Dimapur

DIMAPUR — The office of the Joint Controller of Communication Accounts organised a Pension Adalat cum medical camp at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur, for pensioners of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Northeast-II Telecom Circle, on Wednesday.

The objective of the adalat was to redress the grievances of pensioners related to the disbursement of pensions, transfer of pensions, issuance of identity cards, and other grievances submitted by the pensioners.

According to a press release, grievances from pensioners in Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh were received online beforehand. Several grievances were also received at the venue, and all efforts were made to settle them on the spot.

Representatives from the All India BSNL DoT Pensioners Association, NE-II Circle, also attended the adalat, which was presided over by K Sajal, joint controller, SK Baidya, deputy controller, and SK Samanta, accounts officer.

A medical team from the District Hospital Dimapur, under the direction of Dr. Moamenla Singson, conducted the medical camp for the participants.

It should be noted that the Office of Joint Controller, Communication Accounts, NE-II is responsible for the pensionary benefits of retired DoT employees in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Manipur.

This region has over 400 pensioners, and the office ensures timely payment of pensions through the in-house developed application SAMPANN.
