Penalty shootout held at Peren

Dimapur, August 13 (EMN): Open Football Penalty Shootout was held at Peren local ground on Saturday, August 12 under the theme 'Kick out bogus votes'. A total of 32 teams participated in the event with The Triumph, Jalukie walking away as winner while Boys 5 Ndunglwa bagged the runners up spot. Earlier in the opening programme, Nathan Konyak, Assistant Election Officer Peren exhorted the gathering to practice the culture of free and fair elections and encouraged the youths to enroll themselves in the electioneering process. He lauded the members of Team One in taking a stand on clean election which was the need for a better tomorrow. Er. Asembe chaired the programme while Kengim Hegui pronounced the Pledge on clean election.
