PDTA felicitates participants and medallist of Nagaland State Taekwondo Tournament

The participants and medallist of Nagaland State Taekwondo Tournament who were felicitated at Phek SIRD hall on Saturday, October 5.

Dimapur, Oct. 5 (EMN): The Phek District Taekwondo Association (PDTA) felicitated the participants and medallist of Nagaland State Taekwondo Tournament that was held recently in Kohima. The felicitation programme was held at Phek SIRD hall on Saturday, October 5. This was stated in an update by the press secretary of Phek Town Youth Society (PTYS)

Speaking on the occasion, Zhoi Lohe, SDO (Civil) Phek, congratulated all the participants and Phek District Taekwondo officials for bringing laurels and accreditation to the district and community. He also encouraged the participants to display their talents, discipline and enthusiasm in their future endeavour.

Additional Superintendent of Phek, Tokavi Achumi, a black belt and two times national karate champion also applauded and counselled the participants to instil with patience, persevere and discipline to progress not only in taekwondo but also in their school academics and socially.

He also advised that a person with only talent cannot win without dedication as it involves discipline, fitness, sincerity and respect for the master/ instructor which will help a person achieve success in their venture.

General Secretary of PTYS, Kozote Akami who also spoke on the occasion, stated that it is a delightful moment for the district who achieved 20 medals out of 23 participants in their first venture out in a tournament. He also conveyed the heartiest congratulations and said that success always comes through hard work and therefore asked the students to inculcate this value to bring more glory for the district.
