The Phek District Sports’ Association (PDSA) congratulated the first Naga lady Olympian, Chekrovolu Swüro, on being selected for the prestigious Arjuna Award 2013. Though raised in a humbled rural background, devoid of proper guidance and inadequate facilities for a sports person, Chekrovolu overcame all hurdles by her sheer will and determination, the association said in a release adding her feat is remarkable.
It said the ace archer has not only brought pride and laurel to the Association but also to the whole of Nagaland.
