PDFL: Wins for Barak FA, Native Feathers, Puiteing and Lekie Mtei

Dimapur, Oct. 8 (EMN): Barak FA, Native Feathers, Puiteing FC and Lekie Mtei FC registered wins in their respective matches on Saturday at the ongoing first Peren District Football League (PDFL) 2022 organised by Peren District Football Association (PDFA) at Jalukie 'B' village ground, an update stated.

Playing the first match of the day, Barak FA defeated Prime FC 1-0. Barak FA who overcame one of the season’s favorites Native Feathers on Thursday, came even stronger with their captain Kenumdi making several attempts to open the team’s account in the early minutes of the game and dominated the first part of the game.

The lone winning goal for Barak FA was scored by Chrakung in the 19th minute.

Native Feathers stunned Nsong Area Sports Association (NASA) 5-1 in the second match. The first goal came through the boots of Lungmedau of Native Feathers in the 40th minute. Khiuwangbo Kaurintah scored in the 57th and 86th minutes and Khankinwi scored in the 59th minute.

In the 70th minute of the game, Heluingim scored the solitary goal for NASA. Khankinwi of Native Feathers then added another goal for his team in the 71st minute, to seal the fate of NASA.

In the third match, Puiteing FC blanked Northern Zeme Sports Association (NZSA) 4-0.

Puiteng FC maintained its winning streak and is on top of the league points table. Wibonjibou of Puiteng scored a brace in the 41st and 42nd minutes of the game, which was followed by another brace from his teammate Paolenngam in the 63th and 65th minutes.

In the fourth match, Lekie Mtei FC thrashed Benreu FC 3-0. Both the teams failed to register any goal in the first 40 minutes of the game. But right before the breather, Hainsiugongbe Kenn of Lekie Mtei found the back of the net through a penalty kick in the 43rd minute.

In the second half, Lungneuying of Lekie Mtei added another goal in the 60th minute. Lekie Mtei FC striker, Haileuyibe Iranggau, the top scorer of the league missed chances in the early minutes of the game but managed to score in the 71st minute.
