Dimapur, Aug 14 (EMN): Phek District Cooperative Societies Union (PDCSU) along with Assistant Registrar and staff of Cooperative Societies Phek and NSCU Board of Director called on Agriculture and Cooperation minister, G Kaito Aye, at GA Rest House, Phek, on August 14.
Addressing the members, the minister emphasised on the importance of cooperative activities and urged the cooperative leaders to give priority on recovery of ICDP, NCDC loans in order to avail more schemes in near future.
He has appreciated the resolution of CPO on banning import pig from outside the district. He said such step would really benefits the farmers and boost their economy. The minister also informed that the government is committed to help the farmers who are sincere in their endeavour.
Phek ARCS, Temjen, while welcoming the minister, highlighted the department’s activities in the district. He has also heighted the potentiality of the district in agri and allied sectors. Stating that ARCS office is working hard for recovery of loans, he appealed PDCSU to give their support for the success in its endeavour.
PDCSU president, Kekhwengulo Lea, assured the minister and the department of its support and cooperation particularly in the recovery drive. Lea informed that PDSU will be organising training for the registered societies in all divisional-level. In this regard, he has sought logistic support from the department.
