PCWA sensitises Phesama citizens on consumers’ rights

Phesama Catholic community at the consumers’ awareness campaign at St. Paul Institute auditorium on August 13.

Dimapur, August 16 (EMN): The Phesama Catholic Women Association (PCWA) organised a “Consumers awareness campaign” at St. Paul Institute auditorium for the Phesama Catholic community on August 13 on the theme “The Lord hates people who use dishonest scales. He is happy with the honest weighs (Proverb 11 1),” sponsored by the Department of Legal Metrology & Consumer Protection, Kohima.
Mrs Mhaleno Zashümo, member of Kohima District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, (District Forum) and resource person, highlighted on the importance of consumer rights in day today life. The resource person also apprised the participants on the ways and means to register complaints on their rights.
The programme was chaired by Ms Khriehuno Catherine and blessed by Rev. Fr. Arul SJ, Regional Superior Jesuit Society North East Region. Altogether about six hundred church members participated and availed the benefit of the opportunity.
Meanwhile, Phesama Catholic Women Association has expressed sincere gratitude to the Department for arranging the programme amongst the St. Paul Catholic Church members.
