Dimapur, Sep. 19 (EMN): With the sole aim to resolve the critical issues related to pay and allowances of GREF officers/personnel and to provide immediate relief to them, the Defence Accounts Department is holding a GREF Adalat at HQ CE(P) Sewak from Sep. 18-20.
A press release issued by PRO (Defence) Col. C Konwer informed that the Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Border Roads) J. Lhungdim, IDAS ianugrated the GREF Adalat and conducted the proceedings of the Adalat along with Brig D.S. Rawat, Chief Engineer. GREF stands for General Reserve Engineer Force, it is under the defence ministry, Government of India.
J. Lhungdim, IDAS, PCDA(BR), in his inaugural address highlighted the core issue of his personal visit to redress the problems in pay and allowances of GREF personnel and to boost the morale of the troops who are deployed in the very difficult, far-flung and remote areas of the Noth-Eastern Sector.
He also interacted with the officers and personnel of Project Sewak and the efforts put in by the men and exhorted them to continue the good work. The PCDA (BR) also held detailed discussion with Chief Engineer, Project Sewak to resolve the various outstanding issues.
Apart from above, Sanjay H. Sansare, IDAS, Dy.CDA of PAO (GREF) also apprised the troops about the latest steps taken by their office to redress the grievances of the GREF personnel in a shortest possible time, the release stated.
