DIMAPUR — Patkai Christian College (Autonomous) will hold the curtain raiser programme of its year-long 50th anniversary celebration at Bundrock Chapel auditorium on January 20.
An update from the college informed that the year-long golden jubilee celebration of PCC would kick off with the curtain raiser adding that several events have been scheduled throughout the year.
Established on August 28, 1974, as a liberal Arts college with its motto “Lux et Veritas” (Light and Truth), Patkai Christian College has, over the years, emerged as one of the premier educational institutions in Nagaland as well as the northeast region. Among its achievements, it was the first college in the northeast to be granted autonomous status by the University Grants Commission in 2005 and was first college from Nagaland to feature in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2023 list of top 200 colleges in India.
It mentioned that the college is now a multidisciplinary institution of higher education offering courses in Arts, Science, Commerce and Music with 15 undergraduate and 7 postgraduate departments. Additionally, there are diploma, certificate and add-on courses for undergraduate students.
As Patkai embarks on the celebratory year, the organising committee has extended invitation to all alumni and well-wishers to join the curtain raiser on January 20.
