Patton visits PHC Nyiro, assures construction of vehicle parking, approach road

Wokha, April 30 (EMN): Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton on Thursday visited Primary Health Centre (PHC), Nyiro which was converted into isolation centre under Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Wokha, to take stock of the situations for preparedness of Covid-19.
Patton, who is also the in-charge of Covid-19 Wokha district was briefed about the status of the preparedness and appraised on the contractual posting of medical officer (NHM), ANM and lab technician at the PHC, wherein he assured to take up the matters to the higher ups.
He interacted with the health workers and public leaders of Nyiro range and assured for construction of vehicle parking facilities and black topping of approach road connecting to PHC Nyiro, at his personal expenses.
Stating that due to nationwide lockdown, construction works came to stand still, however, he said Wokha to Longla village blacktopping work will resume as soon as the lockdown is lifted.
Urging the public not to give any hindrance of developmental activities for the sake of landownership, he said that any development activities taken up by the government are for the welfare of the public.
Later, the deputy CM handed over one fogging machine to the district CMO, donated by the Nagaland BJP legislators and party workers for the entire 11 district in the state.
The machine was handed over in the presence the district’s deputy commissioner, Superintendent of Police, and Wokha BJP president and party workers at his private residence in Wokha.
Patton also donated 200 litres of hypochloride to the district.
Deputy Commissioner Orenthung Lotha, the task force in-charge for the district and CMO Wokha appreciated the deputy CM for his support.
CMO Wokha also told that Wokha district hospital will soon be receiving X-Ray machine.
