Dimapur, March 9 (EMN): Coinciding with the tour of 37 Tyui assembly constituency consisting of 21 villages in Wokha district, which he represents, the deputy chief minister, Y Patton, inaugurated a community hall at Chukitong town on March 9.

Chukitong range comprised of five villages and Chukitong town. During visit to the villages, Patton met the public, village councils, elders and party workers, an update from deputy CMO stated.

Delivering speeches at different villages, Patton stated that developmental works came to a grinding halt in the previous one year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. He, however, assured that the PDA government under the leadership of the chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, was committed for the welfare of the people. He affirmed that the present government was stable and would complete full term.

Also pointing out that development projects are for the people, Patton said “There is no ruling or opposition” development. He further assured to take up all their genuine grievances to appropriate authorities in the government.

The citizens of Chukitong range have acknowledged his initiatives for various developmental activities particularly in Chukitong range. The minister was accompanied by SP Wokha, EAC Chukitong, BJP state officials, BJP Wokha district officials, party workers and well-wishers.
