Dimapur, Aug. 29 (EMN): State deputy chief minister and BLP leader, Y Patton, has appealed the government to release funds for various central schemes including SPA fund for the state of Nagaland.
Patton made this appeal at the meeting of all BJP chief ministers and deputy chief ministers held at the party headquarter, 6-A, Deendayal Upadhyay Marg in New Delhi on August 28.
While highlighting the difficulties faced by the state in implementing various central schemes in the absence of adequate funds, Patton expressed optimism that the central government would accede to his request. He also thanked the present government at the centre for their continued support and encouragements and further looked forward for the same in the days to come.
Patton also expressed gratitude to the prime minister for his patient hearing on the issues and suggestions raised by the members in the meeting and hoped that all issues and suggestions will be promptly addressed.
The meeting was chair by national BJP president, Amit Shah, and addressed by the prime minister, Narendra Modi.
The meeting saw the attendance of chief ministers and deputy chief ministers of the BJP ruling states in the country.
There was a presentation on the achievements of four years of BJP led NDA government and monitoring of various schemes of the state governments apart from suggestion and future programmes.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of the BJP to deliver goods to the people and to work harder to make the dreams and expectation of the people a reality.
Meanwhile, as per the directive given by the BJP central leadership, the states would be organising various social welfare programmes and functions on regular basis for the benefit the common people of their respective states.
