Patton donates preventive kits to Wokha district

Wokha, April 1 (EMN): The deputy chief minister, Y Patton, visited the District Hospital Wokha, which has been marked as Covid-19 hospital on Wednesday.
Patton also visited the District Hospital, GHSS hostel quarantine ward and Christian Medical Centre (CMC) Vankhosung.

He was accompanied by Mhathung Yanthan, advisor to Horticulture, in-charge of Border Affairs and MLA Chumben Murry.

In the meeting conducted at DC conference hall, Wokha, Patton donated 4,000 face masks, 1,500 hand sanitiser and cash amount of INR 2 lakh, which was handed over to district administration.

With the current alarming situation, Patton stated that the district needed additional forces since the district shared the longest border with Assam. He also stated that state government had taken up measures to distribute free rice for the poor and needy people in every district.

Advisor of Horticulture Mhathung Yanthan stated that the state had received enough medical equipment (PPE) which would soon reach to all the districts.

He asked the task force team and all civil society to coordinate in the fight against the common enemy.

Chairman of the Lotha Hoho, Mhondamo Ovung, has assured assistance to the district administration and medical department to help prevent the disease in the district. The hoho also donated facemasks and hand sanitisers to the administration.

Deputy commissioner, Wokha, Orenthung Lotha, has assured to take all possible measures to combat the pandemic in the district by using all resources.
