Y Patton gives away rice and public addressing system to daily wage earners and IPR officials at Wokha town on July 8.

Wokha, July 8 (EMN):
The deputy chief minister and leader of BJP legislature party, Y Patton distributed a total of 530 bags of rice to 21 daily wage earners from 37 assembly constituency, who are residing at Wokha town at his private residence on July 8.

Speaking at a brief distribution programme, Patton has assured to contribute assistance to those in need stating that it has to be a collective effort to combat the pandemic. In this regard, he urged the people to maintain social distancing as well as inform the people to wear masks and follow government guidelines.

He also handed over a public addressing (PA) system and equipment towards the Information and Public Relationship (IPR), Wokha, in order to ensure that information is widely disseminated through the announcement in the district.

Patton informed that he had extended financial as well as material assistance towards Wokha district and even in different districts during the current Covid-19 pandemic.

A dedication prayer before handing over the rice to daily wage earners from 37 AC, who are residing at Wokha town and a sound system towards IPR was done by Rev. Achumo Kithan.

Right after the programme, Patton rushed to Kohima to attend a cabinet meeting at 4 pm.
