Patton campaigns for party candidates in Mizoram
DIMAPUR — Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton, who was appointed as election co-in-charge for the forthcoming assembly election of Mizoram has been campaigning for BJP candidates for the last few days.
On Friday, Patton was joined by Union Minister of Earth Sciences and election in-charge of Mizoram, Kiren Rijiju.
“Under the BJP banner, we are committed to bringing positive change and development to this beautiful state. Wishing all our candidates the best. Together, we will pave the way for a brighter and prosperous Mizoram,” tweeted Patton on X (formerly twitter) after attending the party ticket distribution ceremony in Aizawl on October.18.
Patton also shared few pictures on his social media X engaging in a game of carom with Rijiju and tweeted “a great day spent with Kiren Rijiju in Mizoram toady. We had productive dialogues with our hardworking BJP Mizoram team, and amidst the election fervor, we engaged in a friendly game of carom”.
The BJP on Friday released a list of 40 campaigners, who would campaign for the party candidates. Along with the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, the national BJP president, JP Nadda; Defence Minsiter, Rajnath Singh; Home Minister, Amit Shah; including Y Patton; Nagaland minister of Tourism and Higher Education, Temjen Imna Along; Rajya Sabha MP, Phangnon Konyak; and former BJP legislator, Mmhonlumo Kikon, would campaign for the party candidates in Mizoram.
