Patton assures financial aid to GHS Englan
Dimapur, March 14 (EMN): The deputy chief minister and in-charge of Home, Y Patton, visited the Government High School (GHS) at Englan in Wokha district and interacted with the teachers and students. The visit to Englan range marked the culmination of his three-day tour of 37 Tyui AC comprising 21 villages.
An update from the deputy CMO stated that the GHS at Englan is the only high school for the whole range. During the interaction, Patton encouraged them to bring the best results among other government schools and also assured to give financial assistance for tables, desks and furniture items for the school.
Earlier, Patton also interacted with leaders of women self help groups of Englan Yingsung Federation, Wokha block, consisting of eight villages and covering more than 600 households. The federation is one of the three model cluster level federations mentored by NSRLM.
It stated that the women SHGs shared their commendable achievements and contributions towards the uplift of rural communities and exuded confidence that the minister would help foster relationships in their collective aspirations for building holistic development in the community.
The minister was accompanied by SP Wokha, PDA member Yanpos Murry and host of district and state BJP members.
