Dimapur, Oct. 29 (EMN): Against the backdrop of the Amur falcons arriving in Nagaland coupled with the advent of winter season, the management of Intanki National Park has notified that patrolling in the National Park would be intensified starting from November.
In a press note, Director Intanki National Park, YM Jami stated that Section 27 of the Wildlife Protection Act 1972, which restricts entry of unauthorised persons in the park, has been invoked.
Therefore, the director has appealed the general public to take heed of the notification, saying that the move was aimed at protecting the National Park which is a restricted area.
It may be mentioned that Intanki National Park is also a roosting place of the migratory bird Amur Falcon.
