DIMAPUR — The State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) and the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) organised a programme on ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ (Festival of examination) at Fernbrook School in Wokha town on Wednesday.
NSCPCR chairman, Alun Hansing, highlighted that ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ is part of a larger initiative spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to create a stress-free atmosphere for students, parents, and teachers. Emphasising the importance of such events, Hansing stressed the need to celebrate the unique individuality of each child and foster an environment where self-expression is encouraged, stated a DIPR report.
The primary objective of the event was to help children overcome the stress associated with examinations and discuss strategies to mitigate examination pressure. It was also aimed to change the perception of children, parents, and teachers towards stress and alleviate anxiety before exam results.
Resource persons of the event were Akumla Longchari, member of NSCPCR, and Dr. Zavise Rume, professor at SCERT, Nagaland. They delivered a comprehensive presentation elucidating the mantras and concepts of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha.’
Report stated that their presentations focused on putting exams into the right perspective, tackling examination stress and making learning an enjoyable and fulfilling journey. They further highlighted the various initiatives launched by the Government of India to address the issue of exam stress.
Parents and teachers from various schools across Wokha district attended the programme.
