Dimapur, July 20 (EMN): Principal of Modern College, Kohima, Dr. HP Singh, has underlined important role of parents in the life of their wards and being proactive in their approaches for their all round development.
Dr. Singh stated this while addressing the meeting of Parent-Teacher Association of Modern College, Kohima, held on July 20 at the college premises. The meeting was attended by administrators, faculty and guardians/parents of Modern College students.
Dean of the college, Kaikho Losü, highlighted on the importance of stakeholders in the all round development of the students emphasising the role of teachers by teaching and mentoring.
An open discussion was focused on student’s specific strength and weakness in individual subjects and students discipline in classroom. Three representatives were selected among the parents/ guardian namely Rikhi Rana, H Mukam and Adaphro Chalie.
The meeting was chaired by Abenla Longkumer, department of English, while a song was presented by members of Evangelical Union of Modern College.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Athiko, HOD of Economics department.
