Dimapur, Sep. 19 (EMN): Pani Kheti under Beisumpuikam village in Peren district has been fully vaccinated with the first dose of Covid-19 vaccination to all the eligible beneficiaries.

An update from the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Peren, informed that the medical team from Jalukie Zandi conducted the Covid-19 vaccination drive four times and also held an awareness and sensitisation programme two times to clear the doubts and misconceptions about the vaccination.

“It was one of the resistant villages and hard to reach area under Peren district, but with constant effort of the health workers, Ashas and AWWs, the village GBs and elders came forward with a determination to vaccinate all its eligible citizens with the Covid-19 vaccine to make the area 100% vaccinated,” report stated.

Accordingly, a team of medical staff led by Setuonuo Sachü, CHO of Jalukie Zandi HWC, visited the village again on September 18 and vaccinated the remaining left out eligible beneficiaries. It informed that a total of 120 beneficiaries were vaccinated.
