Pangnyu Phom seeks public contribution against Covid-19

Dimapur, May 1 (EMN): Health minister S Pangnyu Phom calles upon the people of Mokokchung to contribute their best to win the fight against Covid-19 and also educate the people to strictly follow the protocol in their endeavour to prevent the spread of virus.

Phom stated this during a review meeting on the preparedness in the event of an outbreak of Covid-19 in the district with the district task force along with representatives from Ao Senden, Watsu Mungdang, AKM and ward held at the office of the ADC (Planning) conference hall, Mokokchung, on May 1, a DIPR report stated.

Phom also expressed gratitude to all the frontline workers, governmental and non-governmental organisations led by the district administration for working tirelessly with new strategies to combat Covid-19.

Phom also visited Dr. Imkongliba Memorial Civil Hospital Mokokchung, which has been converted into Covid-19 Hospital Mokokchung. He also inaugurated and handed over one ambulance with basic life support level and TRU NAT kit for screening and testing Covid-19 cases.

Phom was accompanied by minister of Housing Tongpang Ozukum, advisor of Industries and Commerce Imnatiba and MLA BS Nganlang.
The report stated that Tongpang Ozukum, Imnatiba, deputy commissioner, superintendent of police, CMO Mokokchung, and presidents of Ao Senden and AKM spoke at the meeting.

Phom delivers ambulance to Wokha


Phom handed over an ambulance to District Hospital Wokha on May 1.
He inspected the designated Covid-19 Hospital at Wokha and held a short consultative meeting with the district task force and NGOs to strengthen and deliver the best healthcare service to the citizens.

Phom has appreciated the health workers and task force for their effort during his visit and further called for collective efforts to combat common enemy.

Lotha Hoho chairman Mhondamo Ovung and general secretary Aben Ngullie have submitted a charter of demand during the meeting.

Phom was accompanied by minister Tongpang Ozukum, advisor Imnatiba. Advisors Mhathung Yanthan, Mhonlumo Kikon and Dr. Chumben Murry were present during the visit. The dedication of ambulance was done by Mhondamo Ovung.
