Painting competition marks ‘Road safety month’ in Wokha

DIMAPUR — As part of ‘National Road Safety Month,’ Wokha Police organised a painting competition at Regimental School of DEF Wokha on February 10 on the theme “Be a road safety hero.”

An update from DEF Wokha stated that the additional superintendent of police, K Soriso, spoke on the importance of road safety measures to be followed by each and every individuals in order to avoid loss of life, injuries, and damage to properties etc. He also encouraged all the participants to be ambassadors of road safety by sharing their knowledge to all their loved ones and friends.

It stated that Chumben Odyuo of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School won the first prize, while Shanchobeni Yanthan and Tsanthungo Kinghen both from Regimental School of DEF Wokha secured the second and third places respectively.

All the winners and participants were given cash awards and certificates.
