To ensure wider outreach and accessibility, especially in remote and rural areas, the initiative is being supported through the deployment of Mobile Skill Morung vans, which will deliver skill training directly at identified locations, bringing training facilities closer to the community and reducing barriers to participation.
Under the programme, a total of 16 locations across the state will be covered, and 400 youth and women will be trained in four identified trades: blacksmithing, basic steel fabrication, basic dessert making and basic makeup artistry, with 100 trainees in each trade.
A key feature of the programme is the provision of essential toolkits to all trainees upon completion of training to enable them to immediately engage in gainful livelihood activities.
