PAC to undertake spot verification of projects

EMN DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 15 THE Public Accounts Committee, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, under the chairmanship of Dr Longrineken, will undertake an ‘on-the-spot verification’ of various government departmental projects/works on October 23 and 24. The exercise will be undertaken in connection with the Examination of the Report of the Comptroller & Auditor General of India for the year 2011-2012, a Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat release said.On October 23, the Committee will .visit Veterinary College and inspect the setting up of Nagaland Composit Pig Project (NCPP) at Jalukie. It will then visit the New DC Office complex and inspect the infrastructure support for different projects and construction of rest house and slaughter house at Khopanala, Dimapur. On October 24, the Committee will visit Rural Development department in Tuensang on non-permissible expenditure out of Administrative Contingency Fund and also Veterinary department in Tuensang on the Mithun Project. The Committee will then proceed to Zunheboto to verify the appointment and construction of Ombudsman Office and also verify the ongoing project of construction of DC office. The Committee has requested all the PAC members to be available during the verification period. All the departmental representatives concerned have been directed to be present at the project site with relevant information to assist the Committee.
