Over 10 lakh PDS beneficiaries in Nagaland

Dimapur, Jan. 23 (EMN): Nagaland has a total of 10,56,119 beneficiaries under the Public Distribution System (PDS) project with the highest number of beneficiaries from Dimapur district with 2,87,812 till December 31, 2021.
Data from the CM’s dashboard showed that there were 3,03,758 ration card holders and 9,72,101 Aadhaar-seeded beneficiaries in the State.
Meanwhile, Nagaland has a total of 1,656 Fair Price Shops (FPS) as on December 31, 2021.
District-wise data revealed that Dimapur has 77,245 ration cards, Kohima has 33,753, Mokokchung has 30,621, Mon has 34,909, Phek has 23,702, Tuensang has 28,704, Wokha has 19,100, Zunheboto has 19,532, Peren has 13,426, Kiphire has 12,770 and Longleng has 9,996 ration cards.
The data also showed that as on December 31, 2021, there were 2,87,812 beneficiaries from Dimapur district, 1,11,413 from Kohima district, 88,864 from Mokokchung, 1,22,307 from Mon, 70,997 from Phek, 1,04,20 from Tuensang, 62,421 from Wokha, 65,943 from Zunheboto, 45,766 from Peren, 39,366 from Kiphire, and 28,848 from Longleng district.
It stated that Dimapur district had the highest fair price shops (311), while Longleng district had the lowest (60).
