Dimapur, Nov. 15 (EMN): The Central GST Commissionerate, Dimapur, conducted an outreach programme on ‘Sabka Vishwas’ scheme and the New GST return at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur, on November 15.
A presentation was made on the ‘Sabka Vishwas’ (legacy dispute resolution) scheme which offers a golden opportunity to taxpayers for closing their pending disputes relating to previous service tax and central excise cases that are now subsumed under GST.
A presentation was also made on the New GST returns which are likely to be introduced by the government in the next financial year.
Joint Commissioner of CGST, Sashi Wapang Lanu, appealed to all the tax practitioners to use the new returns trial version tool which is already available online so that taxpayers might familiarise themselves with the new format before it is launched next year.
L Krelo, assistant commissioner, stated that the programme was well attended by tax practitioners, taxpayers and members of chambers of commerce and business associations.
