Dimapur, Dec. 7 (EMN): Outgoing Deputy Commissioner of Longleng, Y Denngan Avenoho Phom has lauded the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) members for their cooperation and support to the district administration during his tenure as DC in Longleng.
The DC had particularly thanked the government officers for their active and diligent performance in the service towards the welfare of the people despite many shortcomings in terms of communication and transportation problems.
Addressing the monthly DPDB meeting held on December 7 in his office’s conference hall, the outgoing DC urged upon the officers to continue their effort for the uplift of the district and extend the same cooperation and support to the new Deputy Commissioner. He has assured to extend full cooperation to the administration to conduct the general election 2018 peacefully in the district.
The new Superintendent of Police NC Jamir apprised the members to work collectively for the people of the district. He pointed out that every department has equal responsibility for progress of the district and to maintain peaceful law and order in the district. With the consolidate efforts of all the departments involved we shall bear both achievement and failure together, added the new SP. Meanwhile, the board has recommended establishment of Public Health Centre at Yachem EAC HQ.
The board also decided to sponsor the expenditure for transportation of District Bharat Scout & Guides to participate in the golden jubilee celebration of Nagaland State Bharat Scouts & Guides scheduled in Kohima from December 14 to 16. In this regard, it was decided that every department would contribute INR 1000 and submit to the EAC Yongnyah on or before December 11 without fail.
