Oting village celebrates 75 years of Christianity

DIMAPUR — Oting Baptist Church in Mon district celebrated 75th anniversary of Christianity on December 16 with the minister of Health and Family Welfare, P Paiwang Konyak, as the special guest.

Greeting the people on the occasion, Paiwang stated that attaining 75th milestone was a significant achievement for any church. He also paid tributes to the pioneers, who withstood the test of time and being a beacon of hope, in transforming the lives of the community.

“As we celebrate 75 years of our church’s unwavering commitment to faith and community, our journey echoes the devotion of those early followers, embracing the teachings of love, compassion, and unity,” Paiwang said.

The minister called upon the community to look forward into the future together with renewed faith and enthusiasm and be prepared to continue the mission of spreading love and kindness for generations to come.

Church leaders, Anghs from different villages, village leaders and members from civil society organisations leaders in Tizit area attended the celebration.
