Oting firing incident: Eastern Naga Students' Federation observes Black Day

Black flags hoisted at offices of ENSF federating units.

Dimapur, Dec. 5 (EMN): The Eastern Naga Students' Federation (ENSF) observed Black Day on December 4 and the 5th, remembering the 14 innocent civilians -- 13 at Oting and one at Mon Town – who were killed by the Indian army last year.

The federating units of ENSF, namely Chang Wedoshi Sethsang, Khiamniungan Students’ Union, Konyak Students’ Union, Phom Students’ Conference, Tikhir Students’ Union, Yimkhiung Akherü Arih-ako and United Sangtam Students’ Conference observed the Black Day in its respective headquarters as declared by Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation on November 28.

“Hearkening back to the appalling Oting firing incident on the fateful day of 4th December 2021, followed by string of event on 5th December 2021 Mon town, a night is not passed without a moment of anguish,” read the press release received here on Monday.

“Your stories shall be told for ages to come. Rest in peace brothers!” it added.
