Dimapur, August 6 (EMN): The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) out in collaboration with CAN Youth conducted training on paper bag making for Ebenezer Orphanage Home on Aug. 4.
A press note from CAN Youth on Monday stated that during the training, the proprietor of the orphanage home, Akum Amri gave an introduction during which he thanked the DMC for approving their proposal to conduct training on paper bag making. Amri stressed about transforming the society into a peaceful environment. He further mentioned about the pollution caused by the use of plastics which is hazardous to humans as well as the environment.
Amri expressed his views about the importance of the training workshop for the children and also for the environment. He said that the training would provide income generation activities for the children of the orphanage home. Further, Amri urged the people of Nagaland to reflect upon their contributions that led to an unhealthy environment.
Ebenezer Orphanage Home expressed gratitude to CAN Youth for taking up the initiative to impart paper bag making training to various groups and organisations.
