Orientation on MPCDSR and RMNCAH+N held in Wokha
DIMAPUR — Health department of Wokha division conducted a district-level orientation on Maternal Paternal Child Death Surveillance and Response (MPCDSR) and RMNCAH+N-cum- review meeting for healthcare workers at the conference hall of the chief medical officer (CMO) in Wokha town on Wednesday.
The CMO of Wokha, Dr. Zubenthung Kikon, welcomed the healthcare workers and expressed hope that the training would be a productive one for the district.
The resource persons of the orientation-cum-review meeting were Dr. Thungchanpeni Patton, DPO (RCH/UIP) and MhonbeniEzung, DPM (NHM), stated an update from CMO.
It stated that Dr. Thungchanpeni explained on the basic features of Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Nutrition and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH+N) and MPCDSR. Describing RMNCAH+N as the backbone of National Health Mission, she sought the support of the healthcare workers to further strengthen the data management and documentation in the district.
She also spoke on e-PMSMA, LAQSHYA, SUMAN etc.
The second session on maternal health, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakaram, family planning, adolescent health, high risk pregnancy reporting etc., was taken by Mhonbeni Ezung. She informed the healthcare workers on the need to identify high risk pregnancy and emphasised on regular ANC checkup by pregnant women.
Report stated that the orientation-cum-review meeting was attended by senior medical officers, medical officers, community health officers, block programme managers, nurses, UPHC and DPMU staff.
