Kohima, Nov 2 (EMN): The three-day annual sports meet of Oriental College Kohima (OCK) kicked-off on Wednesday at D Khel ground, Seikhazou, in Kohima.
Chairman of Nagaland Building and Other Workers Welfare Board (NBOCWWB), Dr. Kekhrie Yhome, graced the opening ceremony as special guest.
In his address, Yhome laid emphasis on the importance of sports, fitness, smart living and smart thinking in the fast-paced world. He also shared on the possibilities of considering sports as a career.
Earlier, principal OCK, Ketshukietuo Dzüvichü, in his keynote address said the annual sports meet is also part of the silver jubilee celebration of the college.
The highlights of the opening ceremony included march past from the four different houses to the beat of the Ladies Pipers’ Band from Kohima village. Games & Sports secretary, OCKSU, Dziesetseizo Neichu, administered the oath-taking.
