Governor: State governor, PB Acharya, has mourned the demise Xavier Rutsa, who passed on June 11. In a condolence message, the governor has described Rutsa as a fine gentleman, a sensitive journalist, a generous friend, and a thoughtful writer. He lamented that on his demise Nagaland has lost a refined journalist. The governor further stated that his legacy would continue to inspire the budding journalists as he was a mentor to young journalists and a fountain of wisdom to his colleagues.

MPC: Mokokchung Press Club (MPC), while mourning the untimely demise of Vinyulhou Xavier Rutsa, has expressed remorse over the demise of senior member. Xavier had worked for Nagaland Post and eventually left in April 2012.
