Organisations continue to lend helping hand to the needy

Khermahal and Nyamo Lotha area Business Welfare Association provides ration to daily wagers on May 2.

Dimapur, May 3 (EMN): Organisations and individuals are continuing to extend a helping hand to the needy across the state during the lockdown period.

AIDA, the planning and development office of the Salesians of Don Bosco distribute relief to over 2020 households in 30 colonies of Dimapur.

The group mange to distribute over 15 metric tons of rice, two tons of dal, potatoes, onion, cooking oil, salt and soap, am update informed.

Fr. T T Joseph SDB, Director of AIDA Don Bosco has been supervising the emergency Covid - 19 relief work.

On Saturday,  School Education Advisor  KT Sukhalu distributed lunch packs to frontline workers, medical department staff, and police personnel, to show his gratitude to them for their tireless hard work and dedication .

Beneficiaries receive relief materials provided by the AIDA in DImapur.

Also, Khermahal and Nyamo Lotha area Business Welfare Association provided ration to the daily wagers on Saturday, in the presence of colony GB, leaders, association president and advisors.

In an effort and continuous commitment of Assam Rifles in reaching out to the needy , the Zunheboto battalion distributed essential commodities to the residents of Chare town,  Tuensang on April 29.

Mon battalion extended its helping hand to the district administration by stitching 300 units of masks with locally available materials.

The masks were handed over to deputy commissioner on April 28 for further distribution.

Jalukie battalion also provided rations, face masks and hand sanitisers to the residents of Athibung sub-division.

Villagers were also advised to strictly abide by the precautionary measures to keep oneself and the society free of the virus.
