DIMAPUR — The Poimi Students’ Union (PSU) has condemned the rape and physical assault of one 26-year-old woman at Ngwalwa village, Peren, by the accused, Benjamin Terieng.
In a condemnation note, the union expressed its sadness over the crime, saying that such barbarism should be condemned by every right-thinking citizen and should not be tolerated. It added that there should not be any justification in defence whatsoever.

The clan stated in a note that the perpetrator of the horrific crime should have no place in a civilised society and that, as an example for future generations, justice delivered should be the most severe punishment to discourage such violence in the near future.
