CPO: Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) has condemned the barbaric and senseless murder of Swuduve Nakro near Chiechama village. The CPO appealed to the law enforcing agencies to make all efforts and bring culprits to book at any cost. The organisation also appealed the public to come forward with any information about how trivial it may be. Meanwhile, CPO expressed deepest condolences to the bereaved family and pray that God grant them strength and solace at this time of grief.
State BJP: The State BJP has vehemently condemned the barbaric and heinous crime committed on its member and party President of the Phulomi village BJP Local Area Committee, Swuduve Nakhro on Sunday afternoon September 1 at Chiechema, on way to Wokha.
The BJP fraternity expressed shock that such crime of carjacking at the cost of innocent lives exists in the state and exposes the vulnerability of the common people in their day to day existence.
The State BJP opined that such criminal acts persist because criminals are not booked on time and complete justice does not prevail.
“Where there is insecurity due to lack of adequate policing and social and criminal justice, developments lack far behind” the release added.
The State BJP demanded thorough investigation into the incident and book criminal(s) immediately and ensures justice. It also demanded that the police be further equipped with advanced equipments and measures for prevention of criminal activities including forensic and other investigative tools.
Recurrences of such incidences also call for the overhauling of the policing and justice system, the press release stated.
Meanwhile, the State BJP workers condoled the untimely and unfortunate incident and demise of its party worker Nakhro and pray for his family and departed soul.
Entrepreneurs Associates: The Entrepreneurs Associates (EA) has expressed shock and disturbed by the gruesome murder of Swuduve Nakro (about 35 years), by criminal(s) on the evening of September 2.
EA said Nakhro was a sincere and hardworking member of EA since 2010. He served in the capacity of Mithun Project Field Coordinator, Pholami Village from Sep. 2012 to 2015 and was the Chairman of the Pholami Mithun Farmers’ Club. He recently moved to Kohima with his family to provide better education for his five children and living opportunity after selling off his Mithuns and purchasing a new local taxi.
Such crimes and murders can be reduced if there are proper surveillance and CCTV coverage in the main public spaces across Kohima town and other urban areas of Nagaland. Such security measures undertaken by the Police and Administration will go a long way in making the lives of ordinary citizens much more secure and safer, the members of EA management team stated.
The EA urged the Govt. of Nagaland to put in place such security measures immediately so that the law enforcing agencies will have better tracking systems against crimes ensuring citizens lives more safe in our towns.
“Incidents such as this bring to light the vulnerability of budding entrepreneurs and self employed people who are trying to make a living on a day to day basis. Swudeve is survived by his wife and 5 small children who are now vulnerable with an uncertain future. We mourn with the family. We grieve with you” the release added.
EA lamented that it has lost a wonderful member who was on the path of growth and creating opportunities not only for him but for Naga nation and added that his creative life has been snubbed off by criminals who are still at large.
While condemning the ghastly murder and theft of a brand new Alto 800 Taxi belonging to Swuduve, EA requested the law enforcing agencies to arrest the murderer(s) and deliver justice at the earliest, as justice delayed is justice denied.
“May the death of Swuduve be the beginning of letting justice roll in Nagaland,” the associates added
PTLTU: The Phek Town Local Taxi Union (PTLTU) has strongly condemned the brutal murder of Swuduve Nakro of Pholami on September 2.
The PTLTU asked the All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) that no stone should be left unturned to punish the guilty and for justice to prevail.
PTLTU also expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray that the departed soul rest in peace.
CHK: The Chakhesang Hoho Kohima (CHK) has express utter shock at the dastardly act of cold blooded murder and inhuman brutality meted out to one of its member Swuduve Nakro of Pholami village, Sakraba Circle, Phek district, who went missing on September 2 night and was found murdered the next day near Chiechama village under Chiephobozou Police Station of Kohima district.
The Hoho strongly condemned the heinous crime in cutting short the life of a responsible citizen and a father of five children, who earns his living with his passenger taxi.
“On the fateful Saturday night at around 8:30 p.m., some person hired his vehicle enroute to Wokha, only to be found dead with head injury marks the next day,” President Theja Therieh and Public & Info. Secretary Pfuche Koza stated.
It is very depressing to learn that without any known issues with the victim, the perpetrator(s) only motive was to take away his taxi. This is very alarming, where the lives of human being have become very cheap and without any value, expressed CHK.
The Hoho urged upon the responsible State government to take stock of the situation at the earliest and also called upon the law enforcing agencies and administration to perform thorough investigation to nab the murderer(s) for a befitting punishment at the earliest. Further, CHK sought cooperation and called upon all right thinking citizen to outrightly condemn and fight so as to eradicate such recurrence.
