Organisations come forward to help stranded people of Nagaland
Dimapur, May 6 (EMN): The Nagaland House, Emergency Centre New Delhi, has expressed its gratitude on behalf of people of Nagaland living in Delhi to two organisations for contributing towards helping the stranded people in the national capital.
In a statement made through the DRC, Nagaland House informed that the Ao Union Delhi had contributed INR 1 lakh towards the fund for providing rations to stranded people. It said that the union’s president “Ajung and his executives have expressed that they stand firm behind the Officers and staff of the Emergency Centre and have volunteered for any emergency”.
‘The Naga Christian Fellowship (NCF) Delhi, has also donated INR 1.5 lakh to Nagaland House Emergency Centre for providing ration to the people of Nagaland stranded in Delhi and NCR areas,’ informed the statement.
It is said that the Emergency Centre has provided assistance to over 1500 persons in terms of rations; about 50 patients in medical cases; and 17 stranded passengers at Nagaland House 29 Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Road Delhi, till date.
