Orchid Club organises free health camp

Dimapur, May 11 (EMN): Orchid Club, in collaboration with the Health and Wellness Management Committee (NHP) of Mesulumi village, organised a free health camp at Mesulumi village in Phek district on April 25.

The free health camp was organised with an aim to spread wellness and awareness among the people, to screen the patients in the village, distribute medicines, to treat or refer further treatment as the case might be, an update from Orchid Club stated in a delayed report.

The medical team included Dr. Lhishelo Tsuhah, SMO of CHC Pfutsero; Dr. Yelo T Mero, MO of PHC Chizami; Dr. Kotso Kapfo, CHC Chozuba; Wele-u Khalo, optometric assistant of CHC Pfutsero; Wewe-u Khalo, optometrist; Akole Duolo, CHO; nurse and staff of health and wellness centre. It stated that the village authorities have extended their services in treating the patients.

Report stated that medicines and opticals worth an approximate INR three lakh were distributed free of cost during the health camp.

It added that a total of 250 patients were screened and availed treatments.

The programme was chaired by Wetsholhi Letro, chairman of HWCMC, while the invocation prayer was pronounced by Kewekhazu Venuh, pastor of MBC, and Lhiwetsolo Kapfo, president of Orchid Club, delivered the vote of thanks.
