Dimapur, July 15 (EMN): In an interesting declaration, the NSCN (IM) on Saturday announced that ‘individuals or organisations’ that oppose to the outfit’s framework agreement with the government of India Agreement ‘shall be termed as anti-Naga national issue and anti-peace process’.
The NSCN (IM) publicity wing issued a press release stating that this was decided during a joint council meeting of steering committee and council of kilonsers held on July 12 last. “The historic Agreement, which was made in consideration of the sovereign right of the Nagas and the security interest of India, will protect the right, the identity, the land and the future of the Nagas”, it stated.The NSCN (IM) also called upon “all the Naga people not to be misled by certain section of people who in order to safeguard their vested interest and ambition have been sloganeering anti framework agendas and trading away the birthright of the Nagas”.
