Oppo F23 5G with Snapdragon 695 and 5000mAh battery launched in India
Oppo, a popular Chinese smartphone brand, unveiled its newest device, the Oppo F23 5G, in India.
The Oppo F23 5G features a big 6.72-inch LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate and up to 680 nits of peak brightness. It is disappointing that Oppo went for an LCD panel here when other competitors offer AMOLED panels in the same price range. Nevertheless, the LCD panel boasts a 240Hz touch sampling rate and a pixel density of 391 PPI.
The Oppo F23 5G runs on the capable Snapdragon 695 chipset paired with the Adreno 619 GPU. It is available in just one variant: 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of internal UFS 2.2 storage. However, users can expand the storage via microSD card and also tweak RAM size via dynamic RAM enhancement.

The device boasts a triple-camera system, comprising a 64MP primary lens, a secondary 2MP monochrome camera, and a 2MP macro sensor. Additionally, it flaunts a 32MP front camera dedicated to capturing selfies and video calls. While the video recording resolution is capped at 1080p with a frame rate of 30fps, users can delve into a plethora of shooting modes like NightScape, panorama, portrait and time-lapse.
The Oppo F23 5G packs a massive 5000mAh battery that supports 67W SUPERVOOC charging, ensuring quick charging times. Notably, the device incorporates Oppo’s proprietary Battery Health Engine technology, which optimises battery usage and extends its lifespan.

In terms of security, there is a fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button and Face Unlock. Other notable features include dual stereo speakers, dual-band 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth version 5.1, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The device runs on ColorOS 13.1, based on Android 13, out of the box.
The Oppo F23 5G is available in two colour options: Cool Black and Bold Gold. Interested customers can pre-order the device for INR 24,999, with shipping starting on May 18. The smartphone can be purchased online through Amazon and the Oppo official website. Offline purchases can be done through authorised retailers around the country.
