Dimapur, Oct. 9 (EMN): The Chetheba Town Youth Organisation will be organising the first Phek district open volleyball tournament at Chetheba town under Phek district on Oct. 17 at the local ground.
Vetazo Tetseo, president Chokri Area Youth Sports Association will attend the occasion as the chief guest for opening ceremony starting from 9 am.
Vesuta Medeo, CTYO president in a press release said the event is aimed to focus on promoting local players while keeping in mind to keep the players fit for the upcoming Chokri Area Sports Association meet which will be held next year at Khulazu Basa.
The organisers are expecting around 15 teams to compete for the championship, wherein the winners will walk home with a cash prize of INR 20,000 while the runners-up will receive INR 10,000. The individual award includes best setter and best spiker. The entry fee for each team is INR 2000 and last date is fixed at Oct. 16.
